Mission, Vision, Values and Impact

Our Vision

At Auberge Transition, we will continue to strive for the highest standards of physical and emotional safety for women and children affected by intimate partner violence. Delivering exceptional, client-centered care and support remains at the heart of our organization.

Guided by a strong commitment to excellence in our knowledge, skills, and interventions, we seek to develop and implement innovative services and programs tailored to the needs of the most vulnerable individuals, often mothers and women facing precarious circumstances. By expanding the scope of our services, we aim to support women and children in their journey to survive violence, heal, and regain their autonomy and empowerment.

Through proactive outreach, strategic partnerships, education, advocacy, and enhanced post-shelter support, we remain steadfast in our efforts to combat intimate partner violence and advance social justice.

We envision a society where all women and children can live free from violence, with access to the support, opportunities, and resources they need to thrive.

Our Values

Empathy
By building empathetic connections, we prioritize compassion and understanding in our practices and interactions, both within our organization and throughout the community.

Feminism
Our work and relationships, both internally and externally, are grounded in feminist principles. We advocate for the rights of individuals affected by intimate partner violence, challenge gender-based violence, and strive for a society free from all forms of oppression and discrimination.

Diversity, Inclusion, and Intersectionality
We recognize, value, and respect the diverse experiences of those we serve when addressing intimate partner violence. These differences may include, but are not limited to, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, age, social class, socio-economic status, physical or mental abilities, religion, and ethnicity. We acknowledge that these factors can create unique vulnerabilities, experiences, and barriers to accessing support and services, and we are committed to providing inclusive and equitable care.

Respect
We foster a respectful environment where every individual is encouraged to share their perspectives, experiences, and ideas.

Safety
In all our practices and interactions, both within and outside our organization, the safety of women and children affected by intimate partner violence remains our highest priority. We are committed to understanding and reducing risks by creating supportive environments that promote both physical and emotional well-being. The safety of women and children guides every decision we make and every action we take.
